A delightful loaf that captures the cozy flavors of fall with sweet apple cider and warm spices, perfect for gatherings or enjoying with coffee.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, sugars, eggs, apple cider, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it to a wire rack.
  8. For the coating, mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.
  9. Brush the warm loaf with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
  10. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
