A hearty and comforting casserole featuring tender steak, creamy cheddar, and layered potatoes, all cooked to perfection in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cubed steak
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season the cubed steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, then layer it on top of the potatoes.
  3. Add the sliced onions over the steak.
  4. Layer the remaining potato slices on top of the onions.
  5. Pour the beef broth over everything and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until tender.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider browning the steak before adding it. Feel free to add vegetables like mushrooms or carrots for extra texture.
