- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/2 pound sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup steak sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 6 to 8 egg roll wrappers
Instructions
- Prep the filling: Sauté green bell pepper and onion in olive oil until soft. Add seasoned, thinly sliced steak and cook until browned.
- Add flavor: Stir in beef broth and steak sauce. Simmer, then mix in shredded Monterey Jack cheese until melted.
- Roll the egg rolls: Place filling in egg roll wrappers, fold tightly, and seal with water.
- Fry to golden brown: Heat oil to 350°F and fry egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Notes
- Substitute Monterey Jack with provolone for a different flavor.
- To bake: Brush egg rolls with oil and bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
