- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine blueberries, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Stir the cornstarch slurry into the boiling mixture and continue stirring until the sauce thickens.
- Lower the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let the sauce cool slightly before serving or storing.

- Add a splash of lemon juice for a tangy kick.
