Description

Sweet and simple homemade blueberry sauce made with fresh or frozen blueberries. Perfect for pancakes, waffles, cheesecakes, and more!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine blueberries, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Stir the cornstarch slurry into the boiling mixture and continue stirring until the sauce thickens.
  3. Lower the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Let the sauce cool slightly before serving or storing.
