Easily make smooth and flavorful fresh pumpkin puree perfect for pies, soups, and lattes.

  • 1 fresh pumpkin

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the pumpkin in half, scoop out the seeds, and place the halves cut side down on a baking sheet.
  3. Roast in the oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until tender.
  4. Once cool, scoop the flesh out of the skin and place it in a blender or food processor.
  5. Blend until smooth.
  6. Allow the puree to cool, then freeze in airtight containers for future use.

Notes

Choose a sugar pumpkin or pie pumpkin for the best flavor and texture. Optional: Add a pinch of salt or spices like cinnamon for enhanced taste.
