Light and fluffy beignets dusted with powdered sugar, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove beignets and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy your warm beignets!

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent the beignets from absorbing too much oil. Fry in batches to maintain oil temperature.
