A delightful and airy alternative to traditional bread, perfect for reducing carbs and gluten.

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional seasonings (e.g., garlic powder, herbs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, separate the egg whites from the yolks.
  3. In another bowl, blend the cottage cheese with the egg yolks until smooth.
  4. Add salt and any optional seasonings to the mixture.
  5. In the bowl with egg whites, add cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the egg white mixture into the cottage cheese mixture until combined.
  7. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming round mounds.
  8. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the tops are golden and edges are firm.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make sure to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form for an airy texture. Experiment with different seasonings for unique flavors. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
