Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add Sugar and Buttermilk: Stir in the sugar and buttermilk until fully combined.
  3. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently to avoid sticking.
  4. Add Coconut Extract: Remove from heat and stir in the coconut extract for that tropical flavor boost.
