Juicy and flavorful classic burgers made with ground beef, milk, and panko breadcrumbs, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Hamburger buns
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles
  • Condiments: ketchup, mustard, mayo, Thousand Island dressing (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, milk, panko, egg, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties about 3/4 inch thick, making a shallow indentation in the center of each patty.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 3–4 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  4. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Lightly toast the buns, then assemble the burgers with your favorite toppings and condiments.

Notes

Use ground beef with good fat content for juicier burgers. Don’t press down on the patties while cooking. Experiment with different toppings and sauces.
