A delightful twist on traditional holiday desserts, this cheesecake combines the flavors of sugar cookies and creamy cheesecake, topped with festive sprinkles.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed sugar cookies (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ⅓ cup Christmas-colored sprinkles (red, green, and white)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Extra Christmas sprinkles, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix crushed sugar cookies with melted butter and press into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden and let it cool completely.
  4. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until combined.
  6. Gently fold in Christmas sprinkles.
  7. Pour cheesecake filling over cooled crust and smooth the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the center is slightly jiggly.
  9. Turn off the oven and let it sit inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
  10. Cool completely to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Top with whipped cream and extra sprinkles before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for easy blending. If short on time, use store-bought sugar cookies for the crust. Allow sufficient chilling time for best flavor.
