A delicious homemade stromboli filled with gooey cheese and pepperoni, wrapped in crispy golden dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • All-purpose flour (for dusting)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 6 ounces pepperoni
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • A sprinkle of dried oregano (optional)
  • Marinara sauce or ranch dressing (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll Out the Dough: Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 12×14 inches.
  3. Layer the Cheese: Spread the mozzarella and provolone evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. Add the Pepperoni: Layer the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  5. Season It Up: Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the topping.
  6. Roll It Like a Pro: Starting from one long edge, roll the dough into a log and pinch the seams to seal.
  7. Brush and Top: Place seam-side down onto the baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and oregano.
  8. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Slice and Serve: Let it cool for 5 minutes, then slice into pieces and serve with marinara sauce.

Notes

For best results, use cold dough and don’t overload the filling.
