Delightful and nostalgic caramel apples that are perfect for Halloween or any fall gathering. Customize with your favorite toppings!

Ingredients

  • 2 11-ounce bags of wrapped caramels
  • 8-10 small to medium apples
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream or milk
  • Chopped toppings of your choice
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by ensuring they are thoroughly dry. Skewer each apple with a stick or fork and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramels and heavy cream or milk. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring well until the caramel is smooth.
  3. Spray a tray or plate with nonstick cooking spray. Dip each apple into the melted caramel, twisting until evenly coated. Allow excess caramel to drip off and scrape the bottom over the bowl.
  4. Optionally, dip the caramel-coated apples into your choice of toppings.
  5. Let the dipped apples cool in the fridge for 15-30 minutes to set the caramel. Enjoy your caramel apples!
