A festive and colorful treat perfect for Halloween parties, mimicking the vibrant layers of candy corn.

Ingredients

  • 1 box orange flavored Jello (3 ounces)
  • 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup vanilla vodka
  • Yellow food coloring
  • Tall disposable shot glasses

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 2 packets of unflavored gelatin over low heat, stirring until dissolved (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and mix in 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk and 2/3 cup of vanilla vodka. Cover and set aside half of this mixture for the last layer.
  2. Fill 20 disposable shot glasses with the first half of the mixture, about 1/3 full. Refrigerate until firm (30 to 40 minutes).
  3. For the middle layer, add another packet of gelatin to 1 cup of water in the saucepan and heat until dissolved. Stir in the orange Jello until dissolved and add 1/3 cup vanilla vodka. Pour this layer on top of the white layer and refrigerate until firm.
  4. Stir yellow food coloring into the set-aside milk mixture and pour it on top of the orange layer. Refrigerate until set (about 2 hours).
  5. If any mixture begins to set, warm it in the microwave.

Notes

Allow each layer to set completely before adding the next for distinct layers. Adjust vodka to taste for stronger or milder shots.
