Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (frozen)
  • 4 cups chicken broth or water

Instructions

  1. Place frozen chicken breasts in a large pot.
  2. Add chicken broth or water until the chicken is fully submerged.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and cook for 25–30 minutes (or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F).
  5. Remove the chicken from the pot and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing or shredding.

Notes

  • Add garlic, onion, or bay leaves to the broth for extra flavor.
  • Save the leftover broth for soups or other recipes.
  • Shred the chicken while it’s warm for easier handling.
