  • 1½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • Pickles
  • Diced white onions
  • Hamburger bun croutons (toasted and cubed)

Instructions

  1. Make the Big Mac Sauce: Mix mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, turmeric, and sugar in a bowl. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add diced onion, and cook until softened. Add ground beef, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned; drain excess grease.
  3. Assemble the Casserole: Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix cooked beef with frozen hash browns and layer into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Cheese It Up: Sprinkle cheddar cheese generously over the top.
  5. Bake It: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25–30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden. Optionally, broil for an extra crispy top for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the Finishing Touches: Cool for a couple of minutes and add optional toppings before serving.
