A comforting dish that combines cauliflower with melted cheddar cheese, making it a delicious and savory side even picky eaters will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the cauliflower into florets and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the cauliflower on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cauliflower is tender and slightly golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For an even crunchier texture, try broiling the cauliflower for a couple of minutes after adding the cheese. You can also experiment with different cheeses like mozzarella or gouda.
