Ingredients
Scale
- ⅓ cup melted salted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ⅛ teaspoon baking soda
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
For the Maple Cream Sauce:
- ½ cup real maple syrup
- ¼ cup salted butter
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
(Optional: chopped walnuts for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, whisking until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in white chocolate chips and nuts. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool slightly.
- To make the maple cream sauce, combine maple syrup, butter, and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened, about 3–4 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Cut blondies into squares and drizzle generously with the warm maple cream sauce. Garnish with chopped walnuts if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use real maple syrup for the best flavor.
- Store blondies in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat the sauce gently before serving.
- To freeze, wrap blondies individually in plastic wrap and store in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
