Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.
  2. Add in the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is smooth.
  3. Heat oil in a pan to 350°F.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.
  6. Once cooked, drain the donuts on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar or glaze them as you like.

Notes

Ensure the oil is at the right temperature for perfect frying. Don’t overmix the batter for the lightest texture.
