Description

Crispy, cheesy, low-carb onion ring chips made with just onions and shredded parmesan. Baked to golden perfection, they’re the ultimate quick snack or burger topper.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium white onions, sliced into ¼-inch rings
  • 1 ½ cups shredded parmesan cheese
  • Optional: Olive oil spray
  • Optional: Garlic powder, paprika, sea salt, chili flakes, Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400℉ (200℃).
  2. Line a 12×17 inch baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Sprinkle shredded parmesan evenly to create a cheese base on the parchment.
  4. Place onion rings on top, evenly spaced and not overlapping.
  5. Lightly spray or brush with olive oil if desired.
  6. Sprinkle any optional seasonings over the top.
  7. Bake for 18 minutes, or until cheese is golden and crispy.
  8. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before lifting off the tray.

Notes

For best results, use a mandoline slicer to get even ¼-inch rings and pat onions dry before baking. Let chips cool completely before storing to keep them crispy.
